Sierra Tucson’s reputation as a leading drug addiction rehabilitation treatment center stems from our compassionate care and clinical excellence. Our holistic approach respects the dignity of each person and provides for the healing of mind, body, and spirit.
While you are in treatment at Sierra Tucson, you will work in collaboration with experts who will help you recover from your addiction while addressing any underlying disorders you may have. Our renowned ability to address our patients’ individual needs is the result of a patient-focused philosophy that incorporates both time-tested techniques and emerging methodologies.
The result is a powerful drug rehabilitation experience that puts patients in the best possible position to pursue lifelong recovery.
The basis for drug addiction treatment at Sierra Tucson (as well as for other addictions and disorders) is our innovative Sierra Model®. This model recognizes that all of us exist as mind, body, spirit, and emotions and integrates a bio-psycho-social-spiritual approach to treatment.
Incorporated into the Sierra Model®, a variety of therapeutic methods that help patients understand the causes of emotional and behavioral disorders and avoid subsequent addictions and dependencies during the recovery process.
Process groups are a central component of the drug rehab experience at our addiction treatment center. Patients undergo an individualized treatment plan, which may include disease and recovery education, relapse prevention, 12-Step meetings, Equine-Assisted Therapy, Adventure Therapy, and Grief and Spirituality sessions.
Specialty groups focus on specific areas of concern, such as compulsive behaviors, trauma recovery, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Nicotine cessation, cocaine and heroin addiction, alcohol addiction, and pharmaceutical drug addiction are among the issues addressed in our addictions programs.
Our Family Program provides an opportunity for patients’ family members, ages 18 and over, to participate in the recovery process. We have found that treating an individual within the context of the family system provides a much stronger foundation for recovery from drug addiction and also gives understanding, support, education, and healing to the family.
Treatment modalities at our substance abuse rehabilitation program include experiential therapies, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Integrative Therapies, and medication management, as necessary. This dynamic process develops as the drug rehabilitation experience unfolds for each individual patient, and as the multidisciplinary treatment team assesses the patient’s progress throughout his or her stay.
Patients in the Addictions/Co-occurring Disorders Program are assisted after treatment with “Connections,” which provides one year of continuing care case management. Connections helps patients achieve the goals they set in treatment as they apply their newly acquired skills to all areas of life.
After completing the Sierra Tucson Addictions/Co-occurring Disorders Program, Connections includes one year of individualized support, education, and advocacy for the patient and his/her family with assistance in carrying out the individualized continuing care plan. Read more about Connections.
